In
2001 Jack Bays, Inc. was approached by a congregation
member and Helbing-Lipp Ltd. and asked to check a professional
cost estimator's schematic design budget for this 62,000
SF new facility. That initial request and the subsequent
meetings with the building committee that followed led
to requests for other preconstruction services. Ultimately,
Jack Bays, Inc. was selected as the negotiated general
contractor for the project.
Over the course of the next two years, we worked with
Helbing-Lipp Ltd. and the building committee to deliver
extensive preconstruction services including cost estimates,
value engineering, scheduling, constructability reviews,
identification of long lead items, phasing possibilities
and analysis of weather implications for various start
dates. The Project was completed with occupancy permit
granted in early 2006.
