This
23,000 square foot church was awarded to Jack Bays, Inc.
on a negotiated basis. Situated on 17.8 acres in Prince
William County, this conventional steel framed building
is tucked into its wooded surroundings. We worked closely
with county officials during the project startup to complete
as much sitework as possible under an early grading permit
while the site plan was being reviewed.
The
sanctuary features custom chandeliers with integrated
speakers, imported Italian tile, and wood framed trellises
to match the trellis outside. Through both value engineering
and contract alternates, Jack Bays, Inc. was able to provide
the owner with enough options to construct the building
that was envisioned, within budget.
In
September 2008 Jack Bays, Inc. was awarded the 27th Annual
Metro Washington and Virginia Chapter of Associated Builders
and Contractors, Inc. Excellence in Construction Award
in the Institutional under $10 Million category for Covenant
Presbyterian Church.
